Welcome to Prestige Dental in Silverdale.

How are we different?

Here at Prestige Dental we focus on minimally invasive dentistry achieved by thorough examination and early intervention. This, combined with our individually tailored preventative care, we aim to restore and protect your dental health for long term.

“Minimally Invasive” Dentistry?

It is avoiding unnecessary cutting of your teeth. This is achieved by using the most advanced techniques and materials that are more biologically compatible and mimic natural teeth. This means the future risks of repairs, adjustments and further losses of teeth are also reduced.

Working together for your health

In our examination, you will be able to see for yourself with images exactly what is going on with your teeth. Once you know the full picture, together we will decide what is the best. When you come for treatments, you will know exactly what is being done and why.

At Prestige Dental we will endeavour to provide as comfortable and pain-free treatments as possible

An Easy Guide to an Emergency Dentist Visit

When you have a toothache or something goes wrong with your dental work, you might need to visit an emergency dentist to attend to the matter as soon as possible. Prestige Dental is a family-run business with an experienced, professional team to help navigate emergency dentistry. We offer a wide range of treatments and long-term management of your dental health to ensure strong, healthy teeth. Nestled in Silverdale, north of Auckland, we are ideally situated to serve the community.

What is Emergency Dental Treatment?

Everyone experiences pain differently. If you experience dental pain or even just discomfort, it is time to book a dental check, but do you need an emergency appointment? Some dental issues need urgent attention, while others don't. Urgent attention means a late-night, weekend, or holiday dental visit and scheduling an appointment is vital.

  • A fractured tooth or the loss of a dental filling requires an emergency dental clinic visit. These conditions can lead to infection and inflammation, which may have severe consequences if you don't address them immediately.

  • Bleeding and trauma due to sport or another injury. Some teeth, when knocked loose, can be salvaged. Keeping a tooth is always the preferred outcome. However, if we can't save the tooth, Prestige Dental will find a suitable solution - regardless of the gap.

  • Complications after dental surgery, like a root canal or an extraction, is rare. Give us a call if you are concerned. We are happy to talk you through it; prevention is always better than a cure.

The Admin of Emergency Dental Services

When you are in pain, it might be challenging to focus on anything else. We understand this very well! However, these tips will help with wrapping up the admin side of things quickly and efficiently:

  • When on holiday or out of town, have your full name, access card or proof of identity and any medically relevant info handy. This list includes your allergies, medical history and latest procedures, and a list of medications you take regularly. Having a scanned copy of your passport or access card available on your phone is a simple solution.

  • Access to funds to make a payment if needed. Or when travelling, details on your travel insurance.

  • Dental implant surgery or any emergency work can be overwhelming. An emergency contact person can be valuable to assist with administrative details, getting you home safe and helping to take medication if/when needed. Our receptionist can advise you on the closest pharmacy if required.
