Tooth Removal – Safe and Pain-Free Extractions

At Prestige Dental, we believe nothing is better than your natural teeth. Whenever possible, it is always best to preserve your teeth, as losing them can affect both appearance and function. However, sometimes tooth removal is unavoidable due to trauma, extensive decay, or advanced gum disease. When extraction is necessary, we ensure it is performed safely and as pain-free as possible.

Wisdom tooth extractions

Wisdom teeth can develop in unfavorable positions and may cause decay, gum problems, or discomfort. Impacted wisdom teeth can lead to recurring pain, swelling, and in some cases, infection. They may also affect adjacent teeth, causing deep decay or loss of chewing function. At Prestige Dental, we perform most wisdom tooth extractions in-house. While the procedure is pain-free, mild discomfort may be experienced during the recovery period.

What happens after extractions?

After a tooth is removed (excluding wisdom teeth), it’s important to consider a replacement option. Missing teeth can affect your bite, redistribute chewing forces, and eventually lead to shifting of surrounding teeth. While replacement does not need to be immediate, leaving gaps for too long may reduce space for future restorations. Options to restore missing teeth include dentures, dental bridges, or implants, which help maintain proper function, chewing efficiency, and your smile.
